Yarra Yarra Rowing Club

Active Membership

Our Active Membership includes those looking to row competitively at both Grade and Masters level in State and National competition, as well as Recreational rowers looking to row on the Yarra without the pressure of competition. We welcome rowers of all abilities and skill level.

If you're new to the sport, you can sign up for our Learn to Row program to discover our favourite sport.

Active membership crews train multiple times a week across all boat classes from singles through to eights. Coaching is available to all members, with volunteer run squad and crew coaching, and peer led cross training

The rowing season

The competitive season commences with long distance head races for both Grade and Masters rowers from October through to December. The Masters Season of 1km sprint races continues until May or June, culminating in the Masters State and Nationals Championships.

The social side

Yarra Yarra runs a range of social events throughout the year which all members are welcome to attend, including balcony BBQs, dinners, post regatta get togethers and awards presentations.
