The Yabbie used to appear as Yarra Yarra's seasonal newsletter.
In the 'olden days' of paper, typewriter and mimeograph machines (remember the alcohol smell?) the Yabbie used to be put out as regular as clockwork. It was a valuable communication tool keeping everyone up to date. Then computers stepped in.
We could knock out Yabbies twice as slowly but only if you were a 'desktop publisher' or had a boss who sometimes left their computer unattended. Things moved on and YYRC established a website. It was a bit clunky and you needed a computing degree to change it. So, the newsletter was still being produced but in PDF format.
Now the Yabbie is an emailed newsletter and we have a website for just for members and this website for 'luring' the public in to our club.
Below are some past Yabbies in PDF format. They're are a little old, but still a great read.
